Roads and Bridges

Montgomery County Precinct 4 is responsible for over 850 linear miles of roadway, 1542 linear miles of roadside ditches, and 36 bridges spread across 316 square miles of area. Roadway responsibilities do NOT include any State Highways or areas within incorporated city boundaries. State Highways and Farm to Market Roads are maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation.


Montgomery County Precinct 4 has many parks available for use by the public. Ed Rinehart Park, Ipes Road Park, A.V.(Bull) Sallas park and Sallas Sports Complex, Tram Road Park, and Tamina Park.

EMC Senior Center

The East Montgomery County Senior Center is housed in a Montgomery County-owned facility and staffed by friendly County employees. We welcome with open arms ALL local senior citizens, age 60 and older to join us daily for meals - continental-style breakfast and affordable hot lunches as delivered through our partnership with Meals on Wheels Montgomery County. In addition to our meal programs, activities include puzzles, board games, dominoes, computer games, and an extensive library of donated books for your enjoyment.

Heavy Trash Day is in full swing! We will be accepting heavy trash at our four locations until 2 pm today only. See the attached flyer for location info and restrictions.

Thursday, 10-18-18, will be the last day for Seniors and Disabled Persons to call to schedule Heavy Trash pick up. Remember you must have the trash at the road we will not come onto your property. For everyone else in Precinct 4 Saturday, 10-20-2018, is officially Heavy Trash Day and we will have 4 different drop off locations.

Seniors and Disabled persons may begin calling today October 8th, to arrange for pick up for Heavy Trash. Call 281-577-8919 ext 3. For pickups all Heavy Trash must be out at the road, we will not come onto your property.
